Jennifer Lynn Lyons, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend to many, passed away on March 9, 2022 at the age of 50. She is survived by her husband, David, and her three children, Avery, Melanie, and Connor, as well as parents Elaine and Spencer Phelps, and Robert and Kaye Ducsay, and siblings Rob Ducsay, Kim Goellner, Denise Kern, and Missie Maloney.
Jennifer was born in Willoughby, Ohio in 1971 and spent her childhood in Mentor, Ohio before moving to Brandon, Mississippi in 1984. She graduated from Brandon High School in 1990. In 1994 she earned a BS in chemical engineering, magna cum laude, from Mississippi State University. After graduating, Jennifer married David Lyons and moved to Morgantown, West Virginia, where she spent the rest of her life. She worked at EG&G technical services as a federal contractor before leaving the workforce to be a full-time mother. Jennifer spent her time volunteering in her children's schools and sports, as well as reading, walking, travelling, listening to music, and spending time with loved ones.
There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 18 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, followed by a reception with light refreshments from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Waterfront Marriott.
