Ivan Alfred Deitz Jr, 49, of Powhatan, Virginia, passed away suddenly on January 5, 2022. He was born to parents Ivan Alfred Deitz Sr and Carolyne Marie Deitz , on August 9, 1972 in Albany , New York.

Ivan was raised in Rensselaer, New York and remained lifelong friends with many of those he grew up with. He spent most of his adult life in Troy, New York. He and his companion of 22 years, Connie Carknard , raised their daughter, Carolyne, there. In 2017 Ivan moved to Virginia and married Sarah Kinna Deitz. In Virginia he enjoyed working on his classic cars , attending car shows, and maintaining his home.

In addition to his wife of four years, Sarah, Ivan is survived by his daughter, Carolyne Marie Deitz, his sister, Shelly ( Laurence ) Milowe, and his brother, Christopher ( Helen) Deitz. He is also survived by several aunts , uncles, cousins , nieces, nephews and his half siblings, Delores ( Jerry ) Andrews and Alfred Deitz .

Ivan was predeceased by his parents, Ivan and Carolyne Deitz and his half brother, Marc ( Diane) Deitz.
